During my time leading social at the Museum of London, I was able to enlist The Unmistakables - an incredible consultancy that helped us create this “Christmas” campaign. I was challenged with creating a marketing campaign that represented the diversity of London.
The final idea was to work with Mohamed Mohamed, a Somalian refugee and spoken-word poet, to showcase London’s unique charm; on the one day of the year, many people rest from pounding its streets.
We uploaded the video to the museum’s social media channels on Christmas day and reached over 500,000 individuals with just £250 paid media support. The campaign also received 33 pieces of PR coverage and won PR Week’s ‘Five Campaigns We Liked in December’ public vote.
